He was born in CHANDIGARH and his family hails from SAS NAGAR, PUNJAB.

He attended Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh and he pursued a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree in MEDICAL at  Government Medical College and Hospital, PUNJAB UNIVERSITY, CHANDIGARH.

He attempted the civil services exam in English Medium with MEDICAL SCIENCE as his Optional Subject.
