Indore के Mridul ने किया पहले Attempt में UPSC Clear
My name is Mridul Shivahare. I was born in the Datia district of Madhya Pradesh. I received my bachelor's degree in B.A. (Political Science) from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This was my first attempt in the UPSC CSE resulting in an all-India rank of 247. I began my preparations at KSG Indore, and Khan Sir was a constant source of encouragement throughout my preparation journey.
Strategies related to the UPSC:
My only piece of advice is to take careful notes on everything presented in the curriculum. For prelims, I focused on three or four subjects: politics (18 questions), economics (18 questions), and modern history (10 questions). Discussing politics, history, and certain aspects of the environment will help students pass the prelims examination. Instead of concentrating on Science and Technology, which is a vast field that I wasn't certain about. The three subjects listed above mastered me and really helped me in the prelims examination.
Role of KSG in the preparations:
The faculties of KSG guided and helped me a lot in the answer writing practices. Through the entire preparation journey, Khan sir was my consistent support. I also feel that the answer writing programs like CIWP and POD were quite helpful for me during the Mains exam.
How did the answer writing practice help you:
I practiced through writing 5 previous years questions and I believe that response writing practices are the only way to prepare since 70% of the questions get repeated. However, the language of the questions may alter, but the meaning stays the same.
Talk about the Interview process:
The questions being asked in the interview round are very comprehensive in this aspect. During my interview, there were no DAF questions in the interview round like it used to be in the mock interview. At last, the Interview round is a very uncertain process. Anything can come in your place.
Any special message for the upcoming UPSC aspirants:
I would like to convey the message to all who are willing to prepare, before preparing for the civil services examination, only one thing should be in your mind, “Why IAS”?
Finally, Patience, Perseverance, and Dedication are the main keys for the upcoming aspirants.
