‘Obesity memory’ of your cells

Keeping weight off can be hard. Often it feels like you’re fighting with your body to keep the weight off after months of successful dieting and exercise. A new study has discovered why — and it’s all down to fat cell “memories.” The research, published in the journal Nature, found that fat cells have a kind of biological memory of past obesity and strive to return to this state.

Union women and child development minister Annapurna Devi launched the “Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat Campaign” or child marriage free India campaign portal “to help girls achieve their potential” by checking practices such as child marriages.

K-4 missile tested from INS Arighaat

The Indian Navy on 28 November 2024 successfully conducted a test firing of the 3,500 km-range K-4 ballistic missile from its newly inducted nuclear-powered submarine, INS Arighaat in the Bay of Bengal.
