The 17th edition of Joint Military Exercise SURYA KIRAN between India and Nepal army will be conducted in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, from 24th November to 07th December 2023.
About the Surya Kiran Exercise:
- It is an annual event and is conducted alternatively in the two countries.
- The exercise aims to improve cooperation in counterterrorism operations in hilly areas, jungle warfare, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief in accordance with the United Nations Charter on Peacekeeping Missions.
