My suggestions for the beginners

1. You need to be very sure why you are going for the service because if you don’t have a strong motivating factor why you want to prepare for the exam it gets very difficult which will lead to demotivation and distraction from the goal.

2. Be very thorough with the syllabus and after you get further you automatically will know what you have to study and the things will become very clear.

3. Whatever you have studied, memorize it & learn it and understand it.

4. You have to give a lot of time exclusively to current affairs. And,

5. Very good scheduling and  time management is also the basic need for the beginner.
